Do you use a tri-pod?

Hi everyone :)

Since I was looking at getting a quality camera for my videos. I thought I'd come here and ask, how many of you use a tripod for your videos - if so, which one?

I was hoping to get some insight on what everyone here might use, and what kind of videos you make. I feel like I might have some outdoor videos I'd like to make and therefore, I can't decide on which style/brand of tripod I'd like to get.
 
I have an old JC Penney Tripod, it don't know what model it is though. It looks like this

I use a Manfrotto 785B. Got it because it was really portable and decently built, only good for still photography or video where the camera does not move though. Manfrotto are great tripod makers, but they cost quite a bit.

Yeah I was looking at Manfrotto, I hear they're one of the best, along with Sliks. So you would recommend yours?
 
I have a good manfrotto head and legs but I wouldn't recommend mine for video unless it's static shots, photography though I would. I want a video head and I regret not getting one now.
 
I mean, I'd probably want the tripod to be as versatile as possible. I don't think I'll be doing anything other than static, but it's one of those situations where if it does come up, you're kind of stuck :(
 
I use an old all metal second hand 1970's vintage Yashica tripod with pan and tilt.

It cost me $40 and is really good.

You can get some really good tripods off of Craigs list/Gumtree etc at dirt cheap prices.

A lot of the new tripods have lots of plastic and are really crap.
