Do They Really Like Your Content?

I rarely get sub4sub comments... like maybe 1-2 every few months or so. But it's been a while now since the last time I had something like that. Maybe because of that, I don't feel anything towards people who does it except maybe pity because they don't know any other way to advertise their channel. :spin:

So do I check out their channel? Yes I do, every single time... Because why not? Doesn't hurt me at all to check out their channel, there could just be a gem hidden under the sub4sub comment haha~ Also, makes me curious on how their channel is doing with them practicing the taboo ritual of sub4sub.

But do I go out of my way to subscribe to their channel just because I check their channel out? Nope. They're just like normal viewers or subbers on YouTube, they would leave in time IF they see nothing of value from my channel.

I guess I'm blessed for not getting a lot of those sub4sub requests, maybe its my type of channel or how I talk. Probably giving off an aura that I'm just not approachable. :spin:

I delete any sub4sub comments I get.

That said if someone genuinely watches my videos, and makes similar content to me, and posts on a video asking me to check out their channel, I'll do so happily and leave the comment up, and subscribe if I like their content. There's a big difference between an existing subscriber of yours who watches a bunch of your videos letting you know he/she is making similar content on their channel and asking if you'd be interested in checking it out - than someone posting a generic "Love the vid, subbed. Sub me back?".

I do check out their channel when I get those comments, but I only subscribe if I am actually interested in the channel. Otherwise, I am just giving them an inactive subscriber. I don't know if I should do this, but when I get those comments I reply and say I don't do sub4sub. (I do not really get much of those comments.)

i just don't reply to sub4sub at all. I use to be the one to reply to the "lets be YT friends" when i first started only because I genuinely thought that they were serious. then I actually went to message them on YT and they never messaged back. then i kept seeing the "YT friend comment everywhere along w/ the i subbed thing and found out that it was just to get subs.

It is terrible to use someone who is new to youtube just to get an extra sub. I mean, what are those people even looking for? Do they think that when they hit their sub count dream, all of it will be fun and they will be prancing around their rooms? I don't think so.

those people are looking for #'s in my opinion. it's a blank sub. that person may not really like the content that person uploads but is only doing it because it's a sub4sub. sooner or later, they'll end up unsubscribing.

I HATE THIS SO MUCH!! This is like a craze right now! I have never spammed my channel on other peoples content and I have 7k subscribers and I constantly get people with that structure practically begging for a sub4sub.

This is the worst way to advertise a channel and its extremely annoying! I'm sick of moaning at people and I have included a filter on my channel that if they use the term 'check out my channel' or terms like that so they instantly get put into the spam folder so none of my subscribers see these annoying people's attempt to advertise!

This subject gets me angry!!
