Recently I have been ranting to some of my close youtube friends because they have been complaining about how they get dislikes on some of their videos.

I have a question for all of you out there..What is your opinion on Dislikes?

Do you believe as youtubers we are immune from dislikes or do you believe its a natural thing?

I believe that as a form of media (like all others) there will be people hating on you and just because you make it yourself and its youtube it doesn't exclude the fact there will be people who just dont like your content. Sometimes we cant please errbaday.

So leave your responses below, perhaps debatable responses to keep us active for a while XD
 
These are my thoughts:

One or two dislikes are natural. Expected even. Nearly everyone with a video will get the 'troll' dislike. Why? Because if someone sees a video with nothing but likes, they're going to want to thumb down just to be a d**k. These kinds of things are nothing to worry about and actually make your video look as if it reached a wider audience than just your biased friends.

Dislike BOMBING? (where you get 20 dislikes from one person in a few minutes). No. Can't ignore that, can't get behind it. It's wrong and it's stupid.
 
I think KGATV said it best. The dislike button is there for a reason. Maybe they aren't just haters, maybe they just didn't like the video[DOUBLEPOST=1375388428,1375388339][/DOUBLEPOST]

Well that is also true. Trolls are everywhere. And the bombing? That's just not right

Bang on, couldn't have said it better myself...however even in popular media some people just hate on people such as justin bieber severely without a proper reason ( not comparing us youtubers to the like of justin bieber but you get the point)
 
It's just a red or green bar. People who would like your video aren't going to now hate it because the bar is red. In fact you may get sympathy likes/subs, people who are like "All these jerks are hating for no reason I'm going to sub to help this poor guy out!" And having an all green bar isn't going to make people less inclined to dislike what you do. I find it to be of no consequence either way.

Yeaah the thing "haters gonna hate" is seriously annoying. howabout "haters gonna bring up some valid points that will help you change for the better or dislike to let you know something is wrong"
