Consistency and this guy uploading almost everyday...

LuiC

I sing and vlog stuff
Consistency may or may not give a 1 million subscribers or millions of views, but does consistency almost guarantee you an audience? And an audience that has the ability to grow? I remember I subbed to this channel. At one point I checked his status, he had 900 subscribers. Now, he has 3k subscribers. But one thing I've noticed. He would upload an original song. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Or at least very frequently. Now, many of you would see this as spamming. Does being over-consistent give you an audience? Or is this annoying?

If the video is worth watching and the person who upload it is happy and willing to help other.
In my case coop3rdrumm3r. He is a great guy and post a video almost each day. he makes around 600 subs each day

I believe so. Uploading 8 videos a day won't, but saying 'new videos every Tuesday and Thursday' (or whatever) most certainly will help keep the subs you have, if nothing else (And that's equally important).

Personally, daily is the most I'd upload. One video a day is usually all I have time for with all my subscriptions.

Over-consistent (more than 1-2 vids a day) doesn't bring in an audience. Not to my knowledge.

Uploading daily has it's pros and cons.

Pros: The more videos you have, the more of a chance someone stumbles across one of them. More videos may mean your view count rises, as more videos may be being watched.

Cons: Some people may find daily annoying, and unsubscribe. Not everyone will watch every video, since there is a new one every day it is easy to get behind. The video may not be as well put together vs one that was worked on for a few days/a week, etc.

It really depends on the audience. Some people like daily uploads, some don't. It's not guaranteed that daily will grow your audience. It may, or it may not.

Well, a lot of gamers upload once a day. I know Markiplier uploads twice a day :P. It gives the audience something to look forward to on your channel every day.

Yeah I agree that uploading every day can make people fall behind, and it doesn't always guarantee a good video because you didn't have enough time to edit it (unless you have all day to edit). I only do daily videos if I have to travel or something so as to give my subscribers something to watch while I'm not editing or filming.

He uploads an Original song every day? i bet some of them suck however, i used to be in a death metal band and when we wrote a half decent song, it would take us a few weeks to get it amazballs..... anyway, most people care about quality, not quanity.

Personally, I'm not into the whole daily video thingy. I prefer YouTubers that upload once or twice a week. That's only because I want to have time to watch their videos. I don't have the time to watch someone's video everyday especially when school is around+ I hate having to catch up. That's just me though, some like daily vids. For gaming channels, I'm more lenient if they do like walkthroughs and stuff. It makes sense.[DOUBLEPOST=1376428784,1376428703][/DOUBLEPOST]

My thoughts exactly. Personally when I do something and I didn't really put any time and effort into, I regret it. It could of been avoided with proper care.

This is something I just can't understand. Granted some channels are different but I for one love when there is consistent content from my favorite YouTubers. The problem is, sadly, you are right. These people do exist. Do these same people unsubscribe from Netflix or their cable/satellite provider because they are providing too much content? Sadly I think the answer is yes.

I for one encourage frequent uploads if the quality remains. I find that some people can't simply grasp the concept that just because you are subscribed to a person doesn't mean you are forced to watch every single video they create and upload.

Example: I enjoy watching Zaranyzarak's channel yet I often skip over his non-movie related vids. I subscribed for his detailed Blu-Ray and DVD reviews and his frequent franchise disambiguation vids. Doesn't thatmean I will unsubscribe because one week of videos do not meet my needs? No.

Now with that being said, someone doing a complete 180 with their channels content (gaming to film for example) may be a reason to unsubscribe.[DOUBLEPOST=1376598817,1376598695][/DOUBLEPOST]

Another Markiplier fan I see ;). Probably the one YouTuber I actually settle down and make time for.
