Hey there, I've been making Youtube Gaming videos for about 2 and a half months now and I'm just wondering whether the competition has heated up compared to 3 to 5 years ago??
I know gaming videos has been popping out a lot too...
Let me know guys, thanks for reading ^^

I'd say your 3-5 years too late for gaming video's, I reckon 1000 new kids start putting up gaming video's every day, it's been done like a gazillion times, if every kid puts up gaming video's then who's watching?

it's like seeing a funny clown at a circus and next time you go to the circus everyone from the crowd is now a clown and the old clown is the only one in the crowd, watching a gazillion clowns running around all trying to juggle their balls.

the circus had to close down, only selling one ticket and having to pay a gazillion clowns for their work, 1c each.

Haha, that's quite the analogy, @weeeben!

its definitely more crowded, just try and work on niche games, or really bring your personality as the main focus.
for instance, I enjoy watching prison architect, and simulation games, which only a handful of youtubers have done well, so they are likely to all get my attention, than if i searched for minecraft or COD and found thousands, in that case im going to be looking for the funniest, or some interesting mods etc.

Most of YouTube is overcrowded now. I'd regret not starting a new channel earlier but no one wants to listen to 14 year old Emily's ideas on the world :')

Big up this. Half the issue is that people see other people making money from, in their minds, just playing games or just vlogging when us lot who are somewhat serious about the effort we put in know it's much more than that. Ultimately though I'm a firm believer that the cream will rise to the top. I feel my personality is a big feature of my channel and that I have a decent possibility to brake out of the minnows, as I am sure many others think of themselves.

All about keeping at it but being realistic. New users sign up every day and they could subscribe to you :)
