Channel name important?

Well If I were you I wouldn't go with that name.
The Key is to have something catchy and someone rember you. Don't forget that you should have the same URL as your name if not its going to be hard to find a Youtuber.
 
It's very important. Your channel is your brand, so make it look professional. The other guy that works with Freddie Wong must want to kill himself because the channel is named freakin FreddieW.
 
its more important than people think if you have a simple name people can remember it easily but if you have a name with a bunch of numbers and symbols not so easy to think of

Sorry for the really dumb question, but how do I make sure the URL and channel name are the same? It's been mentioned a few times. (I'm not new to YT but I am new to paying it any thought!) Do you mean the channel name should just be one word? Or do I have to do something specific?

Nice and memorable is key! Smosh, Lukeisnotsexy ect. They're good names, although lengh matters to some people I personally don't think it does. (Says the guy with NotYourAverageJoe) but remember your URL can be different to your username! But you can only change it once so close wisely!
