Blue yeti. Too sensitive?

If you kept the box, take the foam and sit it on your desk, then sit the mic on top of it, preferably the part with the indented part that the stand was in. It's what I did with my Yeti until my boom stand was delivered, I also opted for a boom stand so I can place the mic anywhere I wanted without it touching the desk. That should reduce a lot of the vibrations passing through the desk at least, cause the foam is designed to help reduce damage to the product by absorbing small blows, so it applies to small vibrations even more. Otherwise there isn't much else you can do apart from wait for the boom stand but just keep in mind, the Yeti is a condensor mic so it will pick up a lot of background sounds, to put it simply, whatever your ears can hear, the mic will usually hear too. If I can hear my folks talking in the next room, the mic will pick it up, if I can hear the next door neighbours dog barking, the mic will pick it up. This is regardless of gain but fortunately it won't pick those sounds up as much as your ears, especially if you're mic is a hands length away from your mouth. As for pop filters you don't really need 1, you can sit the mic about 45 degrees to the side of your mouth and aim it towards your mouth, that way it doesn't pick up the air you blow out when speaking unless you turn to face it.

Have you changed the pattern at all? Set it to 3rd setting. Cardoid I believe it is. So it only picks up sound coming from the front of the microphone. I use a blue yeti and I have no issues with it picking up background noise despite it sitting next to a keyboard.
Is there a way to do that with the AT2020?
