BBTV Partnership

If you've signed the contract and sent it back, you've signed to be in partnership with them for that period meaning you will have to accept otherwise they could in turn take legal action against you for declining.
At least that's how I think it goes, best person to ask would be @Shane.C

But Shane runs Creative Nation, he would bring a biased point of view, and not being judemental here mate.; however, Shane has been accused of stealing payments from his youtube partners more then any other network owner. Furthermore, I want to make it clear I am not bashing anyone here just stating what I have seen on here, youtube, and other forums.

And Michael please dont ban me now for trying to protect a youtuber, I know Shane Corry is your friend, but he really needs to stop taking partners money, and then ignoring them and saying they need to go to court to get what they earned. You shouldn't need to go to court to get the earnings you worked for. And I personally have nothing against Shane, nor ever been in Creative Nation and thank God I never have, but its not right to abuse the system like this.

Best person to ask be partners in each networks, and see what they say. And be patient when joining networks as its very hard to leave once you join as I have a bad time with AwesomnesTV and most have long contracts.

Only one member of YTtalk has actually posted a form of proof of non payment here and threatened legal action against Shane to which he obviously didn't want to reply publicly given the chance of proceedings, dealing with issues like that are best via PM. Most businesses dont want to post about issues like that publicly and most get sorted out behind the scenes. Same when someone gets banned here, we dont discuss it on the forums and let everyone express their thoughts and opinions on it etc

The rest of the "Creative Nation scam" complaints posted have all been people who have uploaded other peoples copyrighted works to YouTube and complaining they haven't received their money. You will notice a pattern with those complaining, the majority have no care about copyright and think they should be paid out earnings which dont belong to them, a young company like CN is probably holding them payments to protect themselves and rightly so IMO assuming that is how it even works.

I really see why most networks are not really transparent nor as open to answering ridiculous complaints made online when you get people making false accusations via every type of social media going. So many people see the information and start thinking its true when its someone with no respect for copyrighted works reuploading them and expecting a gold mine, sorry to them, it doesn't work that way.

Im honored Michael for you to respond, Im actually a big fan of yours. I just feel its devestating when fellow youtubers work so hard and have go through so much trouble to get paid what they worked so hard to earn. And I had trouble in the past with networks and know how painful it can be.

I know alot of youtubers who do this as a full time job, and sad to see when networks risk these peoples mortagage and family.

And in my expirence on youtube any copyright claims are usually based on one video, and these copright claims alot of them are false as I even had claims on my own videos which I made myself.

But even if a claim was made, its usually based on 1 or 2 videos, which only make up 10% of earnings. However, to claim 100% is a radical move.

It is only devastating and concerning when they actually are owed money for their hard work, when they dont own the content and uploading trailers, films and TV show episodes I cannot say I feel anything for them, harsh but true. There are a lot of people out there trying to hate on the various networks making up false allegations and call this one and that one scam networks when in reality it is themselves at fault. I haven't actually heard of an MCN that scams people out of their money, only poor contracts that people willingly sign themselves and their channels into.

Purely guessing but I think with Creative Nation they might be protecting themselves because that revenue will end up in the partners pocket and off they go leaving the network with Adsense issues/YouTube issues/potential copyright lawsuits and in the formation years of a company having debt like the amounts I am seeing would be really bad. I could be wrong here of course but thats why I dont think you hear that much of it with larger MCNs those are probably much more able to take hits from abusers of the system even though they shouldn't have to so they dont withhold any payments, either that or we dont hear about it that often with them for whatever reason.

I am pretty sure the payment systems for networks are all automated too with a very small chance of any mistakes being made when it comes to people who do have their own content etc not being paid.

If a content creator is uploading copyrighted material for which they have no authorization to do, it is the content creator's own fault for putting their own family at risk.
