Are the 100 subs really the hardest

Want to know if that is the experience most people had, and does it get easier right after. I asking cause i read an article saaying this.
I think the same, I think it's the hardest part since people don't know you and would not be willing to subscribe to someone who has less than 100 subs, unless you have really good quality content and they see if you're starting to vlog

100 felt the hardest because I didn't have any idea what I was doing. The skills that got me to 100 and then to 1,000, and then to 10,000 are repeatable and learnable.
So yes. 100 was the hardest. Ask me again if I ever hit 50k or 100k on my main channel. Maybe I will change my mind :)

Earlier subscribers are always the hardest because YouTube growth just like growth on any online platform tends to snowball. That means the larger you grow, the faster you keep growing. More views and subscribers will result in even more views and subscribers through the fact that people will share your content, and also through the fact that if you're getting lots of views with good retention times, YouTube will rank your videos higher in search/suggested videos.

Took me 2 months to reach 100 subscribers. Then another 4 or so to reach 500. Then another 2 from there to 1000. Now 3 months since hitting 1000 I just hit 4000.

I didn't find 100 too bad, but 100 - 1k is taking a very long time! Although it's picking up a bit now (i'm at 845) But it's taken me over a year to get this far. Youtube takes hard work, especially in the beginning, so you need to be passionate about it and really enjoy it! I hope after 1k it will get a bit faster!

I think initially getting any attention can be difficult, but honestly, gaining subscribers doesn't become organic for a very, very long time. And as YouTube continues to grow, it's going to stay difficult.

It varies, for me it was the first 500 then I shot past to 1,000 now im stuck again at around 1290. As in, I have lost and gained subbs for about 3 months now and I have netted about 10 subs in this time.

It depends. For me, I uploaded a popular prank on my girlfriend at 0 subscriber, and then everyday for 3 days I gained ~50 subs until 150 then it stopped. In my opinion, I think you should follow a trend that's going around on YouTube to grow your first 100.

100 took me 9/10 months and then in the next 2 months i gained 60 on top of that. I think its different for everyone. I'm still hovering around 160 at the moment.

i feel like it is the hardest because your are not known and dont have momentum but if you produce a lot of quality content the chances of growing are higher

In less than 4 weeks ive gone from 0 on everything to now 96 subs with 19k views with a average view time of 2:56. Im quite suprised really. About 150 likes and only like 5 dislikes. I noticed YouTube had recommended my videos a lot too. My coversion rate of viewer to sub isnt as good as others on here. Biggest thing is to be always uploading I think.
