Anyone else ever had problems rendering?

So I recorded a new video a few days ago and just spent the last 2-3 days trying to get the video to render using all sorts of different settings. Nothing worked. The video and audio kept coming out of sync and the video got longer then it should have been. i.e. it should have been 2:35 mins long but was 2:55 mins after rendering.

Today I decided to shorten the video and removed maybe ~30 seconds out of the video. It finally rendered normally again and I uploaded it a while ago.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Its just weird because I have made much longer videos before and never had any problems like this.

I've had problems with rendering longer videos at times where I would have to rerender it due to the fact that the video goes out of sync with the audio.
Sometimes however it doesn't fix itself so I have to take the audio from the video and insert it into a different track and try to sync it myself.

God, every time I have to do that it kills me a bit inside.

Sometimes it's your computer or it's just your software. I rendered a video once no problem. I had to fix some stuff in it and when I re rendered it the video would randomly blink and flash at random moments even when I re rendered it. I use sony vegas and I ended up having to disable the GPU rendering booster which actually makes rendering better and faster. For some reason it decided to mess up this particular project.

Yeah I think it is my computer in this case. I'm using a laptop and its a very basic laptop. I dont have GPU and when I render the CPU is usually around 95-100%

If you're using Sony Vegas, maybe your render loop, making your videos longer then they should be and your audio and video tracks are out of sync with each other, check those out and see if any of those are not in the right place , i knowwhen you try to upload a video, it says "video and audio are not synced up" .you just have to tweek around your editing program.

Hey, it wasn't out of sync before rendering. It was perfect. After rendering the video added around 20 seconds extra so the video became jumpy and extended and the audio became out of sync.

Its most likely your render loop, if its not synced up with your audio AND video, then itll add more video to the final product, causing your audio to mess up
