Annoying comments

I've been getting that a lot lately as well. I actually got one the other day that was like "I like your channel. This comment is not spam, so don't be fooled. This comment is actually to let the public know that our channel has some exciting new content, blah, blah, blah." It was literally three paragraphs long.

Usually with the sub4sub comments or the people I can tell didn't really come to watch my video, I just won't reply to their comment or give it a thumbs up. If it's an actual advertisement for their channel like the comment I mentioned above, I mark it as spam.

I'm generally not that bothered by them though. As long as I've got a pretty decent number of genuine comments, I'm happy and I think replying back to build that community is beneficial. Eventually the spammers will dwindle away once they've noticed you're not giving them the time of day (hopefully, anyway).

Not sure if that was helpful in any way. That's just what I've been doing. :p

Omg thank you guys for commenting it really helped me see things a different way! I guess in the end they do give me views. I will try to just delete them right away or ignore them! I wish all of you the best of luck on your channels:)

Think of it as a comment, it still helps your videos right? i have seen them and i just leave them where they are, they took the time to click on your video at least haha.
 
I am trying my best to stop worrying about whether I have a "good" audience or not (in terms of people who come by to view). If someone wants to stop by my channel and promote themselves, YouTube will generally catch it and toss it into Spam, and if they don't, I just say, "Thanks!" and let it sit. I don't think anyone is fooled by spam commenters, and if you want to try to grow your channel by being a jerk, then knock yourself out, spammers. (This doesn't stand for corporate spammers...those, I delete with a vengeance.)
 
Everyone gets this problem I even mentioned it in a video once, if they have generally subbed to me I sometimes approve the comment if they haven't they normally end up straight in the blacklist and are deleted. Some people think it's a genuine way of doing it, they also comment on big youtubers videos writing comments to try and get people to like the comment then check out their channel, and they do this on EVERY single video they upload. It's annoying but nothing can be done about it, they may look like they are doing better then you sub wise but so many of them aren't genuine subscribers who watch their content anyway
 
Post something like "Sub 4 subs will be marked as spam" in your description, comments, video or ALL.

Make sure to simply go to your comments and mark all of them as spam.
 
Yeah, I think a lot of people have been going to random channels and advertising, honestly, so annoying.. I get that it's hard to get views and subs these days but.. really? It's like shoving a flyer about your channel down someones top as they walk down the street

I usually just ignore them, and apart from that, I filter a lot of my comments too, so if they say 'please subscribe' they get filtered out and I can just check them later.. yep!

still, frustrating, you get excited about a comment and its... spam!

Believe me, you're not the only one to be afflicted by the herpes of YouTube!

It's always nice when people take the time to comment on your videos, but that feeling is always somewhat cheapened when people are obviously only doing so in order to acquire some cheeky views themselves.
YouTube is a community; any decent person knows that in order to do well, we have to support each other. And for the most part, members will act on their own initiative and check out commenters they might find interesting themselves.

Obviously, we all want those sweet tasty views and all that jazz - I mean, come on. It's YouTube. You don't make videos public if you don't want them to be seen. I mean, that's just terrible logic.
But outright begging or demanding makes you look like a selfish buttnugget only interested in personal gain - the kind of person who deems social interaction as this mandatory action that leads towards getting famous. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU PEOPLE, YOU TURD BLOSSOM.
 
It bothers me so much I mini ranted about it in a video one lol
I just delete them. If it's a comment that actually refrences something on my video that isn't in the first 5 seconds or can be guessed by the title/descripton (so I know they watched it), I'll comment back and maybe check out their channel. If I like it, I sub, but if I don't, I don't feel any obligation to.
