All right, I caved! Sue me!

I Love YTtalk
Okay so I know that I made the post about 'what's the big deal about HD' in regards to capture cards (and my opinion still stands on that, click here to read that thread), but I've decided to make an investment.

My channel is important to me, and sooner or later the indie games will either become stale or dry up entirely because my comp won't be able to handle them as they get better and more advanced.

My computer desperately needs the RAM upgrade whether I get a HD PVR or not (even if I never gamed on it, it's over four years old and only has 2GB of RAM, I'm upgrading to 8GB), and the PVR will help my channel grow because I can play more games and expand my channel past the indie games alone.

ANYWAY, so... yeah. RAM is ordered, I'm about to order the Elgato, so very soon once I've perfected how to use it and settings and whatnot, I'll be uploading Xbox games! Woop! I've been looking for an excuse to re-play Mass Effect 3 and Red Dead etc so that oughta be fun :D

Soooo yay! Anyone else getting any upgrades for the sake of their channel? New camera? New PVR? New computer?

Awkward moment when someone sues you XD but great investment! I use the Elgato as well and it's worth the money! Brilliant quality and the software is amazing as well :D if I had around £2500 I would also make my own PC so rendering will be much faster and I can game on PC as well

have you checked to make sure you're CPU and motherboard actually support higher than 2GB? cause I was going to upgrade mine from 4GB to 8GB but found out my motherboard won't support anything over 4GB and it would just ignore the other 4GB :L

£2500?!?!! WTF?! you can build a PC with an i7 4.3GHz processor and 16GB of ram, 2GB graphics, water cooling.. pretty much the works for about £1500.. no need to go higher then that :')

Yep my comp supports up to 8GB (2 x 4GB). I'd love to go the whole hog and get 16, but sadly it's not powerful enough hehehe.

I made this list last year and overall it was around £2000 but then again, I was a PC noob back then XD either way, I wouldn't be able to afford to make any kind of PC hahaha

Enjoy the new RAM!! :) I'm sure you'll reap the benefits as it'll be useful for general computing outside of YouTube as well! You'll have to let us know how you get on with it :)
