YouTubers Quitting

Opinionated Vlogger and Gamer
I am feeling a bit down ... some of my favorite YouTubers seem to be walking away or cutting back from YouTube a lot.
  • I've watched LukeConard (aka Luke and LukeConard2) for years now ... starting with when he was with Kristina Horner and they had the ALL CAPS band. He now has practically given up vlogging entirely and just puts up the occasional music video.
  • TheGridMonster seems to have stopped vlogging entirely. She's still active on her beauty channel, but I preferred her vlogs.
  • JasonMundayMusic hasn't posted a new video in 9 months now, despite the fact he was supposed to be working on a new album (I even donated to his IndieGoGo campaign, but nothing ever came of it).
It sort of feels like some of my favorite TV shows got cancelled. Have any of your favorite YouTubers stopped or cut back on their channels lately?

Ya Cory from SMPFilms is planing to cut back on his vlog channel DudeLikeHella. To work more on other projects to his main and maybe as he claimed a new channel he's yet to announce. It sucks but it happens, a YouTuber can only do so much for so long.

Personally none of my favorite youtubers have decided to cut back or quit. There have been some of them who have decided to switch things up, and go in other directions with their channel. which i personally think is fine, even though i might not like everything about the new direction.

I think why some people on youtube who have "made it big" either quit or slow down, is because they're getting burned out. Youtube and the new entertainment media is ever changing and very rapidly. Only those who wish to do it truly from the bottom of their hearts, will be able to adapt to this. You don't see alot of "crappy" channels out there with millions of subscribers right?

I think he only uploaded two last year

Yep, he's completely moved on to Game Grumps. It makes me sad to see someone give up on what is clearly their passion because it's too difficult, only to move onto something easier because it makes more money. I also never liked Game Grumps, even with JonTron and I still don't.

I don't really follow any big YouTubers much, but there are a few YTtalk members whose content I really liked but unfortunately have stopped uploading (and subsequently stopped posting on YTtalk too). They were "small" channels in terms of numbers but they had/have talent and lots of potential too IMO.

My all time favorite YouTuber ever, AboveAverageMuta, cut off his channel after not even a year online. I understand why, family and moving and whatnot, but the selfish fan side of me was sad that he had to go. Nobody has replaced him as my all time favorite, and I don't think anyone ever will. He was special, he was my first!

At least I can still get in contact with him on Twitter. He's a cool enough dude.
