Youtuber sending me fake subs?

I have a slight problem. There's this other youtuber that I do favors for occasionally, and in return he gives me a shout-out to get me new subs. Unfortunately, lately I've noticed the subs I get soon after his shout-outs, are account made on that day, and I don't get subs often enough that it could just be coincidence.. I'm afraid that he is sending me fake subs, but I asked him about it and he said he wasn't sending me fake subs. Anyone have advice on what I should do?

I think its a possiblity that it may be fake accounts, but also keep in mind that some ppl have a channel but don't upload videos as well. I would let it go on a bit further to see if there's any more subs youre getting are fake...If so, then cut em loose!

Might I ask how to cut them loose? I can't even see them on my subscriber list currently. It's says I have 28 subscribers, but only 15 are showing. It's been that way for a while now.
 
yeah that happen to me when i had a group channel we were getting tons of fake subs and had to shut down the channe it was ridicoulous

I meant to cut the guy you do the favors for loose! lol
but there should be a way to see your subs...have you subbed back to them?

stop doing favours tell him you will stop unless he stops if he refuses ir still denies then stop contacting him and say your goodbyes to him.

Yeah, that makes more sense. And no, I generally don't sub back to people unless they have videos I enjoy.
 
Why not just ask him not to do that, or tell him you appreciate it but that's not how you want your subs? Maybe tell him you've got his back he doesn't need to do that?
 
I would tell him to take a walk.. if you're doing real favors for him and all he is doing is giving you fake subscribers that aren't doing anything for you channel then really.. he isn't returning the favors.
