YouTube with a job

I too work full time, taking 3 online classes (that will be over soon tho), and try to balance my channel time in there. Granted I just play games so it's not like I need time to brainstorm ideas. But I do have a routine and just takes some dedication and discipline. I record/edit on the weekends. I upload the entire week's worth of content on Sunday night and schedule them to release during the week so I can focus on other stuff then. I've had some late nights but once you get a routine down, you should be good. I personally use Google docs so I can add thoughts to a spreadsheet whether i'm at home or work and then review my notes over the weekend.

My biggest suggestion would be to record a buttload of videos at once, so you don't have to worry about setting up/making yourself presentable/etc. every time you need to upload something. You can edit them throughout the week in pieces, as your schedule permits.

Right now I only have a part time job where I work once a week and I have an extra job that I do every so often, so right now I'm probably where you were at the start and don't have a full time job yet, in the mean time I'm working as hard as I can on YouTube just to see what happens xD

I'm a supermarket manager so I work a lot of hours during the day.
But as soon as I have time and a good idea I make a video and upload it when it's finished.

That's why I don't have a schedule 'cause sometimes I just have no time.

And of course my wife wants to spend some time with me. ;)

I got really busy with work so neglected my channel all year long, but finally made some videos last week.

Just prioritize what is most important: school/work/youtube/etc.

If I don't get my YT upload fix, I get grumpy.

So YT is a stress relief, and I always find time to do it - maybe not regularly, but it keeps the ideas coming.

Then again, I almost never waste my life watching TV, so time's a plenty.

Maybe change your priorities a bit ?

Hey guys, so recently I've been trying to a job and was wondering if any of you guys have had trouble with keeping with your channel while having a full-time job. Up until now, I have been spending 100% of my time and YouTube and I would've liked to keep it that way; but unfortunately I cannot keep that up anymore.

So, have you had to sacrifice your channels for you jobs?

It should be doable. I think you can aim for the weekend and release one vid a week!

I'm in the opposite position to you, I have a full time job and now planning to start a YouTube channel (just waiting for my microphone to arrive! EXCITING!) I'm planning on uploading on Sundays so I'll be filming on Saturdays, I work Mon-Fri so I just need to make sure I'm free on Saturday to film, edit and upload! It definately seems doable you just need to make sure your priorities are in the right order :)

I go to school 5 days a week, and soon may also have a job! :D I have no problem with making videos. But I have a gaming channel! :)
