Youtube "View"

I Love YTtalk
I had a idea of a new youtube feature, or well features. Maybe even a complete overhaul but thats a bad idea.

So I got this when I was wondering what video I left at in someones vlogs, or videos, whatever, because I haven't watched in months or atleast not daily. So I thought up like a 'Next Video' button on their channel that brings you automatically to the video of the last on you watched. Of course it can get messed up if you watch a earlier one, but same thing happens with Netflix, Hulu, ect.

Then I thought of a new way to browse for channels, like Netflix shows, each channel gets a cover, highlight over it will bring their about section and a sub button, like how it is now, but fits in the new look. Filter by sub count, ratings (video likes average?).

Those are great ideas! YouTube may have reasons for wanting people to watch the newest videos for a given channel, maybe not. I'm guessing if there was more competition, YouTube would pursue these kinds of improvements more quickly.

Well, would work fine for some types of channels, would be a bad idea for others :) Maybe as a revamp of playlists it would be a general improvement for all? Dunno :P

good idea, i hate when i try to make a playlist and the order isn't even correct and I see other people do this and i have to watch it all backwards!

I got another idea. "Pinned Channels"

If yall seen the new Play Music update for phones or web, and how they intergrated their Songza buy. You'll see what kind of layout I'm thinking for this. A few like 8 or 10 or so channels you can pin to your watch now page. I got the idea from seeing the music update, and the fact that my watch page somehow got all messed up, and even channels I watch a lot like @PressRecord, don't even show up at times. So you keep a few of favorites accessable at all times.
