Youtube switching accounts troubleshooting

recently i let my google + page constitute a new account on youtube. so now, i have one as Irina Serban and one as The Whispering Voice. in the beginning, whenever i switched between the accounts everything was just fine: my subscribers, my uploaded videos, my subscriptions, etc everything was in place on both accounts.

today i uploaded a video and it went on irinaserban account where surprise, i have no subscribers, or subscriptions, uploaded videos: it's a blank new youtube channel with even no cover art.

why did it happen and how can i make things look just like before, with both channels having the same content? i use the same url for both, i haven't modified anything and nowhere did they mention that if i choose to connect with my google + page profile everything would migrate on that profile and would be lost on the former one. if i use my youtube channel as the whispering voice, i see the irina serban account as a guest. even imovie had a conflict at uploading my latest video because of that. it's a mess, and i'd like to get out of it with no losses of possible.

I think you can go back into your account settings, and revert the username back from Google+ to the old way. If I can find the directions, I'll shoot them your way.
 
The way the Google+ accounts are set up they allow you to have a + channel and a YouTube channel. Both of them are actually completely different channels under one account. You need to upload to your YouTube account not your + account. + accounts are moreso for people who are just setting up a new account. However, when you link to a + account it opens up a lot of different features for your channel. You can also use it to rename your channel if that was what you are wanting to do.
 
Yeah I recently did this too and was p****d because I even have to subscribe to all the channels I follow again! it's just totally weird.. and my +page says I have seven hundred something subscribers when my youtube page says almost 1k and there's no banner and people who already follow my google+ are not on there.. it's just a mess!

My amazement results from the fact that i started with a youtube channel back in 2010 as Irina Serban where i had my subscribers, subscriptions and recently, uploaded videos. when i chose the + profile everything i had on Irina Serban one migrated there and my old youtube channel remained blank. They shouldn't do that. in my opinion, more logical would have been to let the + profiles empty and not destroy all your work on your older profile.

the funny thing is that if i click switch accounts, my irina serban channel looks differently (it has cover art, the uploaded videos) than if i enter directly the url of the channel. completely chaotic!!!

thank you all for your feedback. i think we'll just have to wait a little bit, maybe, things will get back to normal when both google and youtube finish with their design work

The thing is migrating to a + account does not delete all your work and it does not make your channel blank. It creates a brand new channel. You have to choose which channel you want to use when signing in. All you do is choose your old account when signing in and you will still have everything plus the extra features from your plus account. Nothing is destroyed and everything is normal. Just have to choose your actual account. Not the new channel that was created.
