YouTube Speed?

Okay I've noticed a recurring issue with YouTube, its running like poop, taking like 15 seconds - 1 minute in some cases. Most webpages take like 2 seconds to load for me, and I know that YouTube is full of videos so it may be slower however iPlayer or something like that loads just as fast.

I've been looking around and there's quite a few people mentioning it on the google forums so I think they've changed something recently, thats making it really bad. Its still manageable but there is a noticeable difference, anyone else seen this. That threads here btw:

it was driving me crazy today. when i clicked the bar to skip to a certain part of the video it would just restart from the beginning again, 720p would everytime not be selected and simply skip to 1080p or 480p.
it was annoying :/
 
Sounds like a horrible issue but don't mind me as I take half of your internet speed *cough cough* Thankfully I haven't run into anything like that youtube loads fine for me and the uploads actually seem quicker now they use to take 25+ minutes to upload and it's about 15 now
 
I honestly don't know then, I'm still waiting 30seconds for it load at my house, and I've tried it at a few others and there the same. Maybe its just our ISP (we're all on the same) messing around with the connection or something :confused:
 
you should clear your cache and internet history, it may be old cookies conflicting with new youtube verification certificates
 
I've noticed slower speeds as well recently. Even when I want to watch a 30 second clip, it will probably play 3 seconds and then stop to load the next bit. Then it'd resume and stop again.
