YouTube removing subs - all discussion here

lost 18 today. It was a very sad occasion...and now my socialblade is just even more messed up than before...not showing some daily views and now this...dayuuumn.

The subscriber purge is for closed accounts. I managed to get a sneak peek at last nights/today's analytics for my account before they're officially posted.

Yeah, I think Youtube's just cleaning house. Those subs weren't helping you anyway, because they didn't watch your videos.[DOUBLEPOST=1417562550,1417562301][/DOUBLEPOST]
Hello
I recently lost some subs but I want to know why they left becaus if you look at my channel I uploadet some fancy sfm fan animations which were really liked and got alot views and likes but suddenly 2 people left ( I had 38 and now I have 36 ).
The only clue I have is the latest video where I say that I will stop doing giveaways because I feel like buying subs which don't even like my videos.

My questions are:
Why did they leave?
Am I right that they left because of the giveaways? ( because I stopped doing them. I decidet to only do them on milestones)
Have I made the right choice stopping the giveaways?
I really need some good answers :c

If people were only subscribed to you just for your giveaways, they weren't loyal fans in the first place. You don't need them. As for the giveaways, I don't think you should change just because a few people unsubscribed. Unless you want to start doing them more often again, whatever is best for you is best for you, and if people can't understand that then you didn't need them anyway.[DOUBLEPOST=1417562661][/DOUBLEPOST]This is just another reason why you should never sub-bot or buy subscribers, Youtube removes dead accounts and you end up wasting your money.

I just re-gained around 30 subs after losing 50 last night, weird. No e-mail notifications for those either, so it must be part of the thing they're doing now.
Me too! I regained about 30 of my lost 70 when I checked earlier. Who knows what they're up to?! ;)

Haha this makes me feel so small. I didnt lose any. Maybe it's because none of them are ghostsubscribers but it makes you feel so tiny. Like youtube cant even be bothered to take some of my subs away cause its not worth it anyway haha :D

Well the thing is, I made this brand new account within the last 2 weeks so I seriously doubt that 13 people were all banned or suspended within those 2 weeks. These are 13 people I know in real life.

I read somewhere that they just took off subscribers who only subscribed and didn't watch any videos. So, that may be the case here.
