Youtube partnership?

So i am very new to youtube and i was just wondering how you become a partner on youtube? is it popularity based? consistency with your videos? how do you become a partner?
 
Really depends on what network you're going with, but most require a certain amount of views per month with some even requiring a certain amount of subs.
 
Anyone can be a partner. There used to be requirements. But now the only requirements are no copyrighted material, follow community guidelines, and you can't live Turkey and other countries. Most the countrys where you can't be a partner YouTube is banned there anyways. To be a partner, just go under your account settings and click enable monetization, doing this and verifying a phone number should enable custom thumbnails as well. Once you link an ad-sense account to your channel you can get paid, but you won't get anything until you get $100, which would be at least 20,000 monetizable views, but probably way more because when you are starting you get a low Cpm anyways. All the ads go to popular videos so don't expect much. You do not need to join a network to be a partner.[DOUBLEPOST=1406228475,1406228294][/DOUBLEPOST]Networks are a whole different thing. They take some of your money to give your support and extra features. Some have lower minimum payouts then $100 and some have ad sales teams that give you more ads. Most have requirements you have to meet.

If you are a gamer or just a You Tuber you can use freedom! You don't need any amount of views or subs! I use them and would thoroughly recommend them! :)
