Youtube now auto monetize videos

Oh yeah, I tried track in all countries, and I just keep getting server errors :( It removes the monetize logo, but it doesn't let me save the option to just track.

Wait... hang on. I think "Track" worked. Monetization is disable apparently.

Yeah it doesn't monetize, but you still have claimed the video right?

No, I can't tell. By choosing track in all countries, it just shows me this

I also done this to some of my videos that didn't get many views, and adverts no longer play. There's no yellow line too. I assume I've "unclaimed" the video.

Don't think so. You still have claimed them, only you don't monetize them I think. I have sent an email to support, hopefully they can tell more about this.

Do any ads play, appear, etc.?
I've contacted my partner manager, just waiting for some answers.

If you use track only no ads appear, but it's not about the ads. It's about the claiming. You have to claim a video to track, monetize or block. I don't think you can just claim a videos with third pary notice without getting into trouble.

So... how can you tell if you've unclaimed a video? Also, we may be on different networks, but when you get a reply, do you mind telling us what they advise you to do?
It's happening to quite a lot of people, as well as musicians.

We can't unclaim a video ourself so the Network has to do it for us. I will leave a response here when I get a message.

Don't worry about it. Nothing happens with your video if it's claimed and then at a later date you get a Content ID claim on it. You'll just be at the fate of the copyright holder's policy.
