YouTube, Help Us Small Channels

Hmm,
Tagging are and Titles are very important. I haven't had too much trouble with that, but I think polymer clay tutorials is a much smaller demographic than say... Video Games. Think about how you search for your type of videos. If you haven't done much research yet, look the the big dogs in your category, and look at their titles, and the cover photos.
Try to get the best thumbnails possible. Make them clickable ; )
The better you get at that, and the more clicks the videos start getting the easier it will be for you the learn how to get found.

It would rock if they started doing something like that, though I wouldn't get your hopes up that they will.

That would be cool if they helped us small channels but they do have to make money somehow. Promoting the bigger videos generates more ad revenue. Just gotta keep pushin through and keep making videos :)

I think it already helps the small YouTubers that they changed the focus from views to watch time. Even if you only have a few viewers, if all of them think your content is great and watch the entire video, it will eventually climb in the rankings and have a chance to appear next to the big guys. But of course, you have to work for it and create good content!

You get no sympathy from me. I write harsh truths, and those are sometimes hard to read.
I don't want it. But you're wrong to quantify peoples' talents by their subscriber numbers.

Calling people wannabes or real deals based on whether they "made it" or not is ridiculous.

There's a problem with this that no one seems to be considering. The sheer number of "small" youtubers. You simply cannot promote that many people and have an effect. YouTube already had their "upcoming" vlogger thing, but I don't know what people mean when they say promote smaller youtubers. Like tweet a small youtuber of the week? The chance would be smaller than winning the lottery. There are literally millions of people that would qualify. Everyone thinks their channel is "good".

Not happening!

Why?... That because Youtube and Google is here for one thing... Money. It business is business, there going to get the money by promoting that big person and they really want the company to check out this big person.

This explain the reason why I want to take my sweet time going to college hopping I can get my own degree so I can have my own job elsewhere instead of working on the Internet. Alternatively, I could always look for a part time job at my hometown if I didn't want to spend my day on college. Either way, I like to take my time going through my day at college and I'm pretty certain that I'm might "Stop" working on Youtube and Twitch at some point( but it won't occur soon). I want to "Stop" my old hobbies because I want to pursuit my own interest without messing up my first project.
