Hey everybody, the reason I created this thread is because I believe everybody on Youtube who plans on becoming successful will experience some sort of negativity in their journey, although it would be perfect to grow to the top of Youtube with complete positivity. This negativity can occur in the form of troll/disrespectful/bully comments, troll dislikes, account creating to troll someone's channel, and more. Sometimes the cause of this negativity is just because the viewer does this for attention, but sometimes the creator has led it upon himself/herself.
The Situation
Recently I have encountered my first experience of mass negativity on Youtube. I decided to do an Infamous: Second Son preview on my channel, but I couldn't think of the word "preview" at the time and mistakenly titled with "review", thus misleading quite a bit of people. In this sense I have brought the negativity upon myself even though it wasn't my intentions to grow the most amount of views I have in one video in one day because of a misleading title. The main person who attacked me in the comments section wrote a whole paragraph or so, basically saying that I'm a view "*****" because of this and because of the tags in the description. Some people disliked the video because they genuinely disliked, but many of the dislikes I believe is because of the viewer seeing how many other people disliked they felt they should as well.
The Resolution
I tried to display to the people who disliked that this wasn't my intentions and even replied with long responses trying to explain everything (if you happen to look at the video and comment yourself you will see). I even discussed with close Youtube friends about what I should do and change in this situation, so that the video won't be as misleading. In the end I changed the video title from "review" to "preview" since I didn't have the game, and mainly talked about what the game is about and features in the commentary. Regarding the tags, the tags weren't just spam tags if you look at the description. I actually took time to write extensive tags and to see if they related to my video, so the video wouldn't draw viewers not looking for that information. Anyway I don't mean to ramble on about my personal problems, but I do have questions for you all.
If you or when you have encountered massive negativity on your channel what do/would you do about it? Examples provided (if you have experienced) would be nice.
