YouTube Gear for Christmas

I'm just wondering:
  • Did anyone get any video gear for Christmas?
  • Did anyone take advantage of sales and buy themselves some video gear?
  • What did you get? How will you use it?
  • Are you planning on starting a new channel or relaunching your old one in 2015?

I didn't get any video gear myself. But I did buy some things to make some really nifty homemade soft-boxes a few days ago. Also, I got a new tripod that is sturdier then the one I had. I plan on doing weekly video uploads in 2015 and right now I only have 4 videos and they are all introduction type videos, so I guess I'm starting my channel in 2015.
 
I actually got myself a midi keyboard, a DSLR Style camera and an external USB Mic.

Amazon was great for these. The equipment is great but the content still needs a bit of work haha
 
Last year I got a webcam but I haven't used it yet. Hehehehehe...

Not this year though. This year I was a kid again. I got games.

  • What did you get? How will you use it? I like ice cream

Ah. Dude. I can borrow so much gear from my uni, too. Anywhere from DSLRs and green screens. But I don't want to rely on it since sometimes others already checked out the quality stuff and it sucks for when I'm away from school like on the holidays.

What did you get? How will you use it?
GoPro Hero 3+ Silver, I will use it by filming social interactions and just everyday vlogging!

I started my channel about 2 months ago after realizing the down falls I had just recently things are starting to take off, I am famous in my town for my appearance so I'm going to rub that off onto my YouTube channel in a very unique way!

Mine has metric tons of stuff, from RED Dragons, Blackmagics to DSLRs, camcorders and over the shoulder broadcast cameras, I'm really not worried about them running out tbh.
 
Ohh yeah, I forgot to mention I also got SSD for my laptop and now runs fast which is one of the reasons I was able to create videos again! Admittedly the quality of the content and video editing is still crappy.
