I Love YTtalk
Youtube just asked me to add a g+ account to my youtube? I don't really wanna do it cause my channel is ok as it was, but what are the benefits of having youtube with Google+ if there are any? If not whats the point?

Then it said 'ok we'll ask you again later' I was like NO please don't.

have not heard of any benefits.. But since Google bought Youtube they are pushing Google + because no one is joining so they are trying to force it.

The new comment system is all based on Google+, so even if you don't plan to use it Google+ by itself, you'll benefit by connecting your account.

The best of these features are filtration/moderation of keywords and phrases for the channel discussion tab and an offshoot of that will be filtration/moderation for video comment-any comment that doesn't get past the filter will be held for your approval.

In terms of the social aspect, comments from Google+ that are posted publicly on your video link will be brought into the comments for the video on YouTube to boost conversations. They're also arranging other comments by conversation-similar to what facebook does with their channel pages. You can also choose to have private conversations in the video comment section. There's also an anti-trolling measure that has been a long time in coming, but I think we're under NDA until YouTube says something publicly about it.

The official notice for the new features is here: http://youtube-global.blogspot.com/2013/09/youtube-new-comments.html

The only benefit I can see from it is that you can have multiple channels under one login account. That's pretty cool, unless there's a different way to do that, making Google Plus pointless. >_> Gahhh.

It sux but it looks likes its prob going to be manditory soon. The reason we connected a google plus to our account was to change our youtube name

They just rolled out a new filtering system for comments. You can flag comments with specific words for review. Is that what you're talking about?
