So besides yttalk and learning on the fly... What resources/websites/ecourses do you guys & gals use to learn more about YouTube?

Do you follow any very successful youtubers that give out great tips?

I literally just type into youtube things such as "Youtube tips" "how to get more views and subscribers" etc. I've literally watch about 50 different videos xD and just compiled the bests ones that work for me and applied them.

Yttalk is a school for youtubers pretty much! other then this place i just watch some of my favorite youtubers and the little things they do and analyze why whatever they are doing works and stuff like that

I've learned the most from in person collaborations with other youtubers-I also crew for them from time to time when they need extra help. I take advantage of youtube's programs (hangouts, meetups, meetings at their local offices and youtube space) to further my knowledge and I search for info here on this forum and online.

On the occasion i type on tricks, tips how to get more views that sort of thing. Socialblade has a weekly series which gives out tips and i watched a great series tgn did a whole back now.

At first I though you were walking about learning things through watching tutorials! I occasionally watch commentary videos on how others got their channel big. I find it's just the same tips and don't really bother about it any more.

Whenever I need to pick up a specific trick I just youtube for a video on it :) If you are looking for techniques on recording and filming then I would look into photography magazines and manuals. It's still photography, but sections on composing, exposure, white balance, etc.. are all still relevant to filming.

Yeah, the creator playbook is a big one, asking other people you know who are more knowledgeable, Vimeo Video School, and of course YouTube! (I constantly use YouTube to learn new things about video creation. I'll frequently just search for something I need help with at that time: Green screen advice, filming with a white background, Color Grading in Final Cut Pro X, etc.).
