YouTube Drama

When you think about the long process that is involved with making a video from filming it to editing, to uploading it to YouTube's servers to making the thumbnail, writing the title, description and tags - All of that is ample time to reflect on what you're doing. It's not a split second decision to upload a video to a channel. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing. So in that context, I thought it was disgusting and and I'm even more disgusted that YouTube haven't perma-banned him from the platform. The fact they haven't makes a mockery of all their community guidelines and TOS.

None of the YouTube drama is interesting or entertaining to me in the least, even the Logan/Jake Paul stuff. It's like watching a channel about knitting for me.

The only thing I knew about the situation is screenshots posted on Reddit of tweets people made about Logan's video. The only 2 Logan Paul videos I've personally seen are his Colorblind/Enchroma one and "It's Everyday Bro".

The first one was when I was watching videos on the topic and I happened upon his. I had never heard of him before and didn't recognize his face. I just thought he was some guy trying on Enchroma glasses. But I remember that it seemed pretty annoying the way he was making it and I couldn't watch it for very long.

For "It's Everyday Bro", I only watched it because some of my viewers asked me to make one of my "horror versions" of it.

I have no idea why people are so infatuated with YouTube drama. YT drama in general is usually petty and stupid. I believe most are publicity stunts to gain more followers and recognition. I do think though that some of the recent drama scandals have been more than just petty BS (Peter Monn being falsely accused of being a predator by John Kuckian & The Logan Paul situation). The only reason why I even care about the PM & JK situation is because I love Peter Monn.

To get back to your main question, Logan Paul is 22 years old, he knows what he is doing and he knew full well that this "opportunity" was going to get him tons of view and money (despite talking about demonetizing the video because everyone with a brain knows the Paul Brothers are just in this for the money). I think it was disgusting, inappropriate and evident that he used poor judgement. It is one thing to go there and film it, since he films his daily life (not even sure why kids even enjoy watching him destroy things daily) but to go back and review the footage and actually include that part in his video is horrible. No normal human being with feelings and emotion would do such a thing. He lacks empathy and only cares about himself and money. I am glad what he did has caused him to take a break to reflect upon his actions and understand that he is a grown man and should start acting like one. His career should be over after this, it likely won't be because these little kids still seem to idolize him.

YouTube kisses his a** because he makes them a ton of money, but at the end of the day, YouTube makes FAR MORE off all of the other creators with subscribers in the multi-millions that losing Logan Paul (and even Jake Paul) would be like losing a few hundred dollars to them.

Wow, sorry for the novel, I just wanted to share my thoughts on this.

That's exactly spot on, and to be honest with you at the end of the day, they cannot just let them off because he releases an apology to the internet. It's disgusting, and what's worse is that his supporters, which most of them are in the younger demographic, are all defending his actions.

It just baffles me tbh.

I really could not care less about it and I question why anyone would give it more than 10 seconds of their attention.. If you are a subscriber to his channel and you feel the need to be outraged by what he did, unsubscribe. If you are a subscriber and support what he did/dont care, then post a comment on his channel to let him know or just ignore it.. If you are not a subscriber, why would you care?
End of story..

You could care because you might end up in that forest one day? Because your loved one might be the next dead person being used for exposure one day? I'm not saying that you need to get your pitchfork and torch out and start a crusade, but would you want this to video to be the standard of how we deal with these sad events? Imagine how this video makes people who are contemplating suicide feel? And then they read reactions like this saying ''why would you care?''. We can at least speak out against it, before we move on with our day.

I feel he was wrong in what he did but I also feel social media in general is out to target people like this especially since they are successful. Most could care less about the dead person he videod and care more about laughing as he loses his channel. My 2 cents. I think the public in general is just as much of a problem as him.

So, a big artist Youtuber I follow (Draw with Jazza) reacted to the situation on his vlog channel (Daily Jazza). /watch?v=ylVLtQKroec
Not only does he make some very good points, he also points out the difference in treatment his channels get. His main channel is over 2M, while his vlogchannel is under 200K. He has to battle demonitiation every week on his vlog channel, while his main channel never gets strikes, eventhough he tends to use childish inuendo's. The favoritism is just going rampant on Youtube :/

I usually try to stay away from youtube drama, but then again, I do watch Scarce.
What I mean by staying away, is that I try to not get involved in it. But I admit I have made video responses to different people, which i´m not proud of!

Well, to be honest, I kinda like getting involved in YouTube drama. Yes, it's childish and stupid, but it's just apart of the "YouTube-Culture" as anything else. I like knowing the latest thing Jake Paul did to p*ss off his neighbors and then watching H3H3 give him sh*t for it, I like seeing the next big update YouTube put in to screw over their entire community. In a way, to me, it's kind of entertaining. Maybe I'm just a drama queen.

However, the Logan Paul situation is in no way entertaining.

I usually try to say away from Youtube drama but its so hard and i think what Logan Paul did is just plain disrespectful and i usually thought he was more genuine than his brother but i guess i was wrong.
