I've got quite a few notifications on youtube that "XY added you as a contact". I've never talked with any of those people. What is the purpose of having someone as a contact?
 
Honestly, I don't think there's a good reason for having contacts. I think it's kind of pointless, haha. Random people just add you as a contact for no reason.
 
The only useful thing I can think of is that you can send group messages to contacts, so if you add people who are making the same type of content as you, you could mass share your videos easily.
 
Or, I could come on here and post up some of my content to people that actually care about it, haha.
 
You can post your videos as newsletter and they will be visible to all your contacts (not only to your subscribers).
 
peole use it as a way of getting easy veiws and subs by sending them messages saying "hey come check out my channel" and other stuff like that! :)
