Youtube channel URL issue.

Okay so whenever somebody comments anything on this website there is a box with the link to their channel in. So i put my channel name in the box however the actual url of my channel page isn't what my channel name is, I don't know how to fix this. For example what my channel url should be is something like youtube.com then / my name, but it isn't it's loads of random numbers and letters like any video url would be
