HI,
in my you tube analytics under playback locations I got a 50 views from a website.
so is that website holding my embedded code or link or what?
and I wanna know in which page the video was inserted but in you tube analytics it is not showing clearly.
any tips?![]()
nothing you can do the reason its not showin is because the website has not to be or is not in google's database to show
but the youtube analytics showing that I got 50 views from a different website. How can I know that is the views are real or from which page of the website I got that views
just be thankful some one could have posted it on there website or local forum board that like i said is not in googles database its only 10 views mate i think on a couple of videos of mine i have over 1000Actually it probably is in Google's database, but they are stingy with their free analytics data. YouTube Analytics is especially appalling in lack of drill down and correlation information, and Google Analytics is barely any better (imo). However I know they have enterprise level tools (at least on the Google Analytics side) that they charge $10,000/month for if large corporations want to access it ... so they have the data. You just have to pay through the nose to get at it. (As a web analyst, it really, really annoys me too).you never no manjust be thankful some one could have posted it on there website or local forum board that like i said is not in googles database its only 10 views mate i think on a couple of videos of mine i have over 1000
The problem is, and what I think the OP was complaining about, is that you can't drill down to see which page the video is posted on.I can see which sites my viewers come from if they come from an external site. In your Analytics you need to select the video first, then go to 'Traffic Sources' in the left menu. There you can find 'External website', click that and you'll see a list of the sites that have send some views to your video. The other way to see if a site has embedded your video is to go to 'Playback locations' in the left menu with the video still selected, you can them click the 'embedded player on other websites' link and see which sites embedded your video.

At one point I got a bunch of views on one of my videos from 4Chan. I wanted to see where it was posted and why, but for the life of me I couldn't find it. In fact I had no idea where to even start searching on that mess of a site. Higher-end analytics tools would provide that level of granularity.
