Your first real hate comment!

I think the very first hate comment I've ever had was on an older channel where someone wanted me to go kill myself or something..honestly, I can't really remember.. xD
They are never even creative are they? Hahaha they just rehash the old hate comments thrown around by everyone else. If I actually got a well articulated hate comment, a comment that the poster clearly put effort into to articulate their rage towards me I would actually just be impressed that I inspired that much vitriol from someone. As it is I don't really get comments on my videos but any social media stuff I usually get called something nasty

I've had a few articulate "hate comments," but they usually come off as calmly criticizing rather than raging hate lol! xD I try to listen to some of the hate comments, because I think it's incredibly difficult for humans to express their criticism directly to other people. If someone felt so driven to tell me something is wrong with what I'm doing, and if what they say is slightly helpful, I try to see their point of view and listen a little. ^^

Ahhh of course the actually helpful 'hate comments' are totally fine. They can come across as a little mean if the person is bad with words (or just simply because text is hard to display emotion) but if they are trying to point out flaws then they are ok in my book

I'm so small that I haven't gotten any hate comments yet! When I get one, I will probably just keep it up as a reminder that I am not perfect and can ALWAYS improve.

Loved hearing everyone's responses! Also, it always surprises me how many people get comments to "go die" or something along those lines. Hateful people on the internet are a special breed...

So since we restarted our channel we have been under the radar for a while. We recently grabbed 65 subs in what will be 2 months since reopening again. In all that time we never received a dislike. However, In the past, long before we restarted, we had a channel that tried to make it their mission to put ours down. This started over a recation video we did regarding their rant towards another channel. Anyway Luckly we didn't really care that much, or pay it any mind; so neither did anyone subbed to us. Now that i look at their channel I can see that we have outlasted them so I guess in the end, We beat the hater.

I have luckily never been plagued by real hate comments yet, but I'm just getting to 10 months with my channel, so that could change. I've gotten some dislikes and a comment that was perceived to be mostly constructive criticism.

Circa 2012 (so around a few months after I was picking up steam from regular uploads) I got, "it's time to rid the world of your filth" as my first targeted hate comment. I ended up using their name as the basis for developing a new villain. :p

On my first ever channel I got some really bad hate for a number of people in which I use to play games with, the comments ranged from insults about my physical appearance to how I speak and more. I blocked the accounts but they just kept coming back. At first I was rather surprised and put off by the comments but a few days after I thought F#!K it and decided to make videos and thanking them at the end for the view. Now a few years down the line I've worked as a door supervisor in numerous of nightclubs and pubs and insults is just common (oh so are death threats). Sadly in todays age you're always going to get nasty individuals who just enjoy the thought of upsetting or hurting someone.

I got a comment on my song cover saying, 'this bad'. Which though it isn't much, but for me, who only has one video, and has just started singing, it kind of stung.
