Your favorite video editing program?

What is your favorite video editing program , and why?
Mine is Camtasia Studio , for small projects and HitFilm 2 Ultimate for bigger projects.

Mine is undecided, so I'd gladly hear your recommendations, YTtalk. So, tell me what they are? I'm leaning towards final cut pro.

After Effects, not even a question. Except speedarts. Then I use Premiere Pro because I'm lazy

But..After Effects is a compositing programme, it ain't for editing like Premiere is.

Personally, out of everything I have used, Premiere is my favourite.[DOUBLEPOST=1373665842,1373665792][/DOUBLEPOST]

I assume you have a Mac if you are leaning towards Premiere Pro? I Personally really hated my time using it. Was slow, hated the UI..

Are you ******** me? You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Premiere is for compositing.

Premiere can obviously also do it, my point was that After Effects is not for editing video in, it is mainly for special effects, titles, etc. You obviously can edit in it, but it is not optimal.

Well....he asked my favorite editing program. I work with film and motion design. Last I checked, neither of those can be done in Premiere. So, let's try this again, maybe without sticking your input on everyone's opinion. K thanks![DOUBLEPOST=1373666092,1373666043][/DOUBLEPOST]
...Premiere is an NLE. After Effects is an FX/compositing program. I think you have the two backward.

I know the main focus of Premiere, but it's much easier to composite in than AE, simple because it takes less of a toll on your computer. I use both professionally, I know exactly what they do.

Wether you work in film and motion design, simple fact is that you are wrong. You can do green screen in Premiere and a bit more, but as you know, After Effects is from special fx. You can have your opinion, but we are also free to correct/input in it.
