Wrecking Ball

She actually is a good singer though and that's what matters. You can just listen to the music with your eyes closed.

I just thought licking the hammer was a little much. Kinda over kill if you ask me. Her crying didn't seem realistic to me either. I know it's probably fake, but it was supposed to really express her crying and I thought she did a poor job at that. Not believable to me.

So this has 34 Million views in 2 days and is #1 on iTunes.

I like the video, can see what she was trying to do, but it didn't work. Hopefully a huge performance of it - no twerking, no tongue, etc. - can change all the public opinion on her.

Thinking about it, the concept wasn't bad, the execution was. Basically, the nakedness was to show her vulnerability in the whole scheme of things, that she feels defenseless and exposed after what happened to her -- and now for the sledgehammer lick. As weird as it seems, I think it depicts the fact that sometimes going through the pain of it all feels good, despite the bad consequences. I think this is what the director also said but after analyzing it, it's a bit more obvious than before to recognize the symbolism behind it all.
