Would you want to get recognized IRL?

I absolutely have privacy paranoia. So being recognized in public because of YouTube rather is one of my nightmares.

I wouldn't mind. The closest thing I've had to that is co-workers who I don't talk to coming up to me and talking about a video I've made. I work at a Lowes so I have a lot of co-workers that I almost never interact with, not to mention that theres so many people who are quitting or just being hired so I have a pretty big pool of people who I wouldn't consider myself friends with at work. The most uncomfortable I get is when they quote a video or keep talking about it and then I don't know what to say. If it happened out in the wild with someone I didn't have some level of a connection to, then I know I would be pretty happy that a random person knew something I made and liked it enough to say something.

I would find it odd. Not weird, not bad, just odd. I guess it's because YouTube is a platform that makes me feel closer to the content creators that I don't see them as "unattainable" celebrities, if that makes any sense. If I met a movie start I would go bananas, if I met a YouTube star I'd be kind of "Ah cool". More relaxed. I know millions of people watch YouTube, but no one around me does so I don't imagine it happening.

But all in all, I wouldn't mind. I'm awkward but not mean.

Honestly, I would probably love it. The idea of meeting someone who enjoys watching my content to the point of actually remembering me enough to recognize me would make me very happy!

well it depends. I feel extremely awkward when my friends and family talk about my video in front of me but if I was to be caught by surprise by a fan at the mall or something I would love it. I know I'd probably be more nervous and dorky than they'd expect.

Wouldn't mind getting recognised but I wouldn't like it if people intentionally waste their time following each of my steps. (Thankfully I am far away from it) Mainly because it's something I just don't understand. Live your own life and don't dream about someone else's life.

I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if it was the odd person stopping you and talking to you, but at the point where it would become annoying and restrict your free movement I would definitely mind. Having said that, I think most YouTubers - even the biggest channels - still exist in this bubble where they wouldn't be recognised nearly as much as someone from other forms of media such as television, movies or music, so maybe it wouldn't be too crazy either way.
