Give out leaflets, fliers, bits of paper, etc with your youtube name on?
Just curious as it's an idea I've been toying with.
I live in a city, so there are many apartment buildings that I could easily go into and put a card into every mailbox.
What dya think? Would you do it?

Instantly I'm thinking it all depends on if you have the time and the cost and weighing it up to see if it's worth it

Well I could print all the paper at my work, thats no problem
and the apartment buildings are quite close by, so a couple of evenings and i would have put a few hundred out there into mailboxes. that's the good thing about apartment buildings, they have all the mailboxes on the ground floor on one wall.

In that case you may as well as you don't have a lot to lose. I can't imagine you'd get too much response, but then again, every little helps hey

Personally, no. Maybe at a YouTube convention, but I probably still wouldn't. I hate when people hand me flyers and things when i'm walking by, I hardly ever actually look at it. To me it's basically physical spam, like spam mail.

I see it just as annoying as people leaving comments on other videos saying "come check me out!".

I believe it's illegal to put things into people's mailboxes without it going through the Postal Service. In most cases I'd imagine you'd get away with it if it's just one person but in that case if you're doing it to 100s of people and it's more or less spam, I'm sure it'd cause suspicion.

Yeah, I think the top is true, at least in some places. I don't know about New Zealand, though @ChrisW.

Anyway, I like the idea of business cards, but I don't like the idea of putting flyers in places. It is annoying. That being said... I would totally put a flyer on a bulletin board or something like that. It is a place some people would go to look without being too personal and spammy.

I'm also looking at the the business card thing. Also in conversation people will ask the channel and it will be nice to have. Even the cheap printer ones.
