Hi ive been taking peoples advice on the fourms they said go to Twitter and Facebook and promote yourself there I do that for days they only thing that changed were a few views no subs dk people not like my channel or something?

To be honest, Facebook is only effective if you are sharing it in a group of friends. Do not ever make a Facebook page even though a lot of people try to set their's up. Don't ever promote on Facebook. If you really want to gain exposure on your Facebook page, you have to pay a ton of money. Twitter is only effective if you have a mass following, so that does not even help either. Instagram is not that effective either.

Facebook and Twitter are for connecting with existing fans. Plus most 13-25 year olds don't use Facebook. Like me and almost every friend I have.

Yeah no one really uses facebook anymore and twitter is about keeping up with the fans you already have. Takes quite some time for social media to pay off if you're just doing it to help your channel.

Hey, I know how you feel. One thing i did to increase my social media reach was to have a giveaway. I use gleam
(Goto the website gleam.io/?via=143738 ) and you can have people follow you on twitter and Facebook to enter in for a draw. You can do anything you want for the prize.. personalized video, item giveaway, shutout... you get the point.. because if you don't have anyone to twitter to its a mute point.
I recommend you make a giveaway and blast forums like Reddit to get more followers who in turn may sub if they like your work.

People have a favorite as far as social media goes and it's hard to get them off that platform... and it's even harder with mobile... if they found your video on FB, they'll probably just watch it on FB, perhaps like it on FB and move a long... they are too lazy to open another app or safari or whatever to actually get to Youtube... it's like how can you be that lazy, but it is an extra step in their eyes.... idk that's how I see it

Hey bamarang, I think people here have already given you some good advice. Thing is, you said you've been doing it for days- I think that may be the problem.

If you're expecting to suddenly get hundreds of subs over night then you probably will be disappointed- from what I've seen people say on this forum, you are doing well if you achieve that number in a year.

Just relax, keep working at making your videos better and keep promoting yourself in anyway possible FB, Twitter, Reddit etc and hopefully you will start to see results over time.[DOUBLEPOST=1453362507,1453362306][/DOUBLEPOST]

Good point

- slow and low is the tempo - Beastie Boys ;) hahaha

It's generally hard to convert people from third party websites to a YouTube subscriber. Many of them may not even have a YouTube account and if so they may simply not use it. You would need to have a really strong call to action to make people switch the website to follow you there.
