Why i'm seeing only two ad formats under monetazation tap, instead of the usual four?

If you're with adsense, you have to get approved for unskippable ads by a partner manager. You shouldn't have any trouble getting approved. :)
oh you need to get approved? I hadn't realised this, do you get to select the length of them? I wouldn't want anything crazy long, thanks for the info btw

Once they're approved, you have the choice of "normal" or "long". I had been trying for weeks to get unskippable ads (by contacting support) but it was always met with a copy-paste vague reply. As soon as I was allocated a dedicated partner manager, I got approved within 24 hours. :D

Hi,

You can't ask to have a partner manager. YouTube contact large channels (generally channels with over 100k subs and allocate them with a dedicated partner manager. Once you have a partner manager, you receive their personal email and phone details and then you can ask them about getting the unskippable ads. If approved, they activate them within 24 hours.

If you don't have a partner manager, I'd suggest you contact YouTube standard support either through your channel analytics or through the product forums.

Thanks for the info. The adsense team replied to my Email, though the answer was vague, nevertheless my mind is at ease for the time being. Here is the answer in detail:

If overlay ads and non-skippable ads formats are not appear next to your videos. Then it means that you are not eligible to choose these ads format type yet. Please do not worry since those ads formats will not effect any of your revenue.

As YouTube welcomes more monetized videos, we want to be as transparent as possible about the process, while helping you understand that revenue will fluctuate.

Advertising is also flighted. Different ad formats will run on your watch pages, and each format carries a different CPM (cost per thousand impressions). When you see an overlay running on a video, that’s called a YouTube InVideo ad, and advertisers pay a nice hefty CPM for that unit. When there’s not an InVideo ad sold, then you’ll only see the square ad to the right of the video. We call that a 300x250 (the dimensions of the ad), and the CPM is much lower.

Your net revenue depends on several things, including which ad format appears, what the advertiser paid, and the amount of times your video was viewed.

In addition, a viewer’s geographic location will impact your net revenue. We're steadily expanding the InVideo ad format internationally; this format generates the most revenue for you. In the beginning, it’ll be a little tricky to gauge what your monthly payment will be. Keep in mind that an advertiser has to be interested in advertising on your content, and it may take time to build interest."

I've just been given the option now from youtube, though ill probably use it very sparingly, only on a couple of longer videos, thank you for the info crown, or I wouldn't have known how to get them enabled!

I think's they refused to give you non-skippable ads because of your content. They surely doubt that you own the copyright right to uses you videos.

Awesome, glad it helped. I've had the option for a while but only did a test run last Christmas with a Christmas special video. I'm also hesitant to use them too much - I don't want it to affect my views.[DOUBLEPOST=1467307507][/DOUBLEPOST]
