Why are your Videos a certain length?

I used to make longer, but honestly, it's so much work with me playing both characters... and I've heard there minutes is the magic number... want to keep it lower than that because people will decide to watch your video depending on how long it is.... if they want to click and invest their time... it used to be five a couple years ago but now I've been hearing the number to shoot for is three...

30 seconds to 2 minutes, can't animate much more than that and those 30 seconds already take ages (a month or more) to do.

Depends on the type, most of ours are 5-8 minutes, I prefer to keep them under 7 minutes for a basic product review. If it's a subscription candy box with a lot of items it's closer to 10 minutes, and a how-to video is usually 8-12 minutes. I really try to keep them under 10 minutes though if I can.

my satirical videos i try to keep under a minute to keep it very simple and concise.

for my gaming videos i try to never go over 30 minutes. The sweet spot i tend to shoot for is 10-15 minutes.

It feels to me that having a lets play video with less than 10 minutes feels like it lacks content, and over 15 feels like its more of chore to watch.

It depends on the kind of video. For reviews I don't try to exceed the 7 minutes mark, for "Conso Plays" the 15-20 minutes. Other videos don't have time restrictions, but I have never made them too long, let's say less than 10 minutes.

Yeah, I try and keep to under three minutes if I can help it as some people switch off after a short time sometimes. Every now and again in my end cards I will say something like "if you're still watching then use the word lemon in your comment" and it's surprises me how many people are still watching at that point!

I like to keep my videos 3-5 mins long cause of audience retention.
Videos are getting shorter cause attention spans are getting shorter.
Not sure if that's a good thing ^^;
