Which lens?

Hi guys,

I am moving bedrooms and I am trying to re-arrange my filming set-up.

Basically I have 50inches between the end of the bed and where the lens will be.

Which lens can you recommend which will give a crisp look, but a blurred background with the space I have?

If it helps I have a Canon 700D and didn't really want to spend more then £400 on a lens

Thanks

I'd say any lens that has an aperture of less than 2 and is not longer than 80mm. Err, an example could be a Nikon AF-S... Has an aperture of 1.8 and a size of 35mm, it's also pretty cheap (£146).

i've always loved the look of a 50mm 1.4 lens. im not sure if its gonna be wide enough but if you want to put distance between you and your back ground, this lens will do the trick

You might want to look into Rokinons...it'll do miracles, lol! They are fixed primes but the quality is extremely amazing maybe 35mm or 50mm

I know it's a bit out of the price range you mentioned, but not too much out but a Tokina 11-16mm is a great lens for doing vlog kind of stuff, and it's a relatively fast lens good for indoors with low light. It'll become your work horse, of course if you like a kind of wide perspective.
