Where do you advertise?

I do not advertise, since that costs money. I do some promotion when I feel like doing it, and have time.

The usual places like: Facebook; Twitter, goofing around at YTTalk and to be honest I like Google+.

I have Twitter, but I haven't been able to discern any effectiveness from it. I also have a Tumblr as much as I loathe the general demographic that populates it, though I guess it also serves to anger them, which is funny. By advertise I meant promote. I have thought about buying a banner on Reddit or something before, though.

The Facebook group thing sounds like a good idea. I'll give that a shot as well as the video section here.

From most places to promote I get little response. Reason for that is off course you are not alone who promotes your own content. I'm not alone either. When promoting, people just know what's up and don't even watch your message :). Promoting is like grinding, you get x views per hour and those are hardly 2 digits.

I personally hate Twitter, and I get very little respond from that. the Youtube Facebook Groups are full of promoters promoting their own stuff nobody cares about. Best shot is to promote at relevant places. Like if you're doing BMW reviews, put your content at BMW Facebook FAn groups

I just watched a couple of your videos. You've got some real talent. Since you're doing cover songs, maybe you should do about 12 of them as MP3s and release them on bittorrent websites as a cover album and put a text file in there with a link to your channel. It could draw in a lot more people. Maybe make a jpeg with some album art that has your URL on the bottom.
