When you feel like you'll never get any subs

Hey everyone so I've not been on you tube long, but I didn't realize how hard it was to get my channel noticed. When you first started your channel what do you do about your discouragement?

The first thing you must do is realize that everyone started at 0. (yes even your favorite channel with over a million subs) You must also realize that Youtube is a process... a journey, not a sprint! For the exception of a handful of channels, success won't come overnight so don't expect it to. It will take years, so be willing to invest a lot of time learning and honing your craft. I'm no longer discouraged because I understand the way "the youtube game" works. Something you will also learn the longer you do this. Good Luck.

You posted your first video 3 weeks ago and you have 19 subs.... i had like 4 after 3 weeks. i didnt get discouraged because i enjoy making the videos. If people want to watch them..than good. but i made the channel for my entertainment...ive had 4500 views in the last 48 hours... im working on a video now. If i only had 45 views in the last 48 hours, i would still be sitting here working on my video. You just started, its far to early to become discouraged because you have not even given your channel enough to time to get noticed. There are millions of people trying to make it on youtube right now. You are just one of them. Keep that in mind. Most people will give up. The key to success is to make sure you are the one that doesnt.

This is the best advice. I needed this. Thank you so much

I would say better thumbnails, interesting content, and just be you! Being yourself attracts other people, at least that is what I think! Best of luck to your channel :)

When I first started, I was just happy to be putting videos on the internet and even one view was insane to me. I'm still really small, sure and sometimes I still get a little discouraged if one of my videos hasn't been doing well after a month or two, but I have so many that surprise me when I see in the video manager (when I'm about to do the annotations for my end card) that they've got 60-100+ views.

I'm still just happy to be putting videos online and getting views because I really like reviewing things and maybe I'll help someone find something they really like, or if they have allergies like me (I have a ton), I'll help them find some delicious, allergen-free snacks so they can save time in the grocery aisle.

It's frustrating because you can't create your own unique Url until you have a certain number of subs . Thanks for the heads up :)

I am also frustrated that I can't change my channel link until I reach a certain number of subs bc while I've obtained a few within the last month or so, It'll be a while before I can have my link match my name...:unsure2:

Currently, to refrain from being discouraged, I focus on how far I've come and that I'm doing what I enjoy. Promoting my channel in the right places (joining here, facebook, reddit) has definitely helped me grow as well.

I feel mainly like my channel was on a roll and just came to a standstill and I have no idea why because I feel like I produce pretty good content over all... It really makes me wonder about what the underlaying isue is.

It's hard for every youtuber under 100,000 subs to get noticed but giving up is pointless, as ANYONE can become youtube famous nowadays. All you can do is release high quality polished videos consistently and hope for the best

You have inspired me with this! It really reminds me to just be happy doing what I'm doing and make what I want! Also I am really confused about Reddit so if you would kindly help a girl out! Lol sending positive vibes your way

Aaw, thank you ^_^.

Ah, the specialty reddit I found was for black youtubers, so I probably won't be much help in that department (sorry, but here's another suggestion that might work for you) I think maybe if you start a reddit for small women youtubers (or whatever demographic you're trying to reach, as there doesn't seem to be a subreddit for that, yet) or something you might have a lot of luck (though, I'm not sure if you want to undertake the task of managing your own subreddit, but maybe you could get some mods to help with that if you know people who enjoy doing that sort of thing).

I've looked around the general/small youtubers reddits and most seem to be gamers, so I didn't post there, sorry I can't say if that one works, hehe.

Thank you ^_^ Sending good vibes back, hope I helped a bit ^_^.
