When does a DSLR become "old"?

When you desire higher quality equipment than what you currently have, and it fits in your budget, then you should get a newer one.

If your footage is crisp and is in 1080p, it probably looks good enough for your audience. Whether it looks good enough for you is a personal choice.

My camera's super old, just a Canon Rebel T3i. But it shoots in 1080p and I don't want to spend money, so it works just fine for me. My audience thinks the video looks good, even if the equipment isn't the newest or best available.

As an in-between, if you want higher quality video, you could potentially get a better lens instead of a new camera body.

No worries I'm a PC user as well, Macs are great but I think the money is best spent elsewhere!
Absolutely :D Also I'm an engineering student and all most of the people who make the software I needed for my course don't do a Mac version :/[DOUBLEPOST=1476720313,1476720257][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thank you for the advice, I am happy with the camera I have, I shall stick with it, and invest in more lenses :)
