When Did Your Channel "Take Off"

I started getting 50k views a month or more 6 months ago. But I consider “take off” when you can’t keep up with comments and you have no idea exactly how many views or subscribers you have at any one time

Oh man, ive done youtube consistently putting 4+ hours into each funny moments i made for 2 YEARS, and im still here, ive tried everything my man, so just about never

Mine hasn't and it never will that's for sure. Been trying since 2013. I am using a good camera, good editing software but still I don't gain any viewers.
I have about 600+ subscribers right now but I don't get that many views on my videos, only some kinda peak but that's just luck.

I am not after the fame, I just wish that my hard-work would maybe get a little bit more notice.

It hasn´t really been picked up, but I have noticed I get an average of over 1k views per month, which is a decent increase since I started youtube! If I keep at it, the increase will hopefully continue to grow!
The subscribers is steady, and maybe even stagnated!

You should be pretty happy with how your channel is doing because many people have it worse off than you. You getting 40-100 views on a video is really good for your subscriber count and you should be happy with where your channel is at. You are doing well and some day your channel will start to accelerate, it just takes time.

It's so tough to begin with when you're getting 10 views and 1 subscriber a week. We've all been there, and the deafening silence in the comments section is embarrassing.

I always get inspired when channels that are so far ahead of me mention the tough times. Very rarely do I see this happening here. I guess successful channels only want to talk about their successes and not share about the tough times.

I guess in the second year, as it took a year to get to 100 and the next I went to 1000. Now I am approaching 5000 but growth has been slow and actually stagnated after the great downturn of 2016. I used to average 100+ subscribers a month. Now I am gaining far less than that. I have turned it into 100% hobby and just create and upload the content I want to create.

This is why most channels fail, because of unrealistic expectations. The difference between someone who quits and someone who perseveres is whether or not they can fight through that.
So true.
You need to enjoy the process of learning and improving your channel and forget about making a living from it.
It sounds like you are doing a great job with your channel and experiencing solid growth; now you just need to be consistent and PATIENT!

Best of Luck with it.
