When a Video Idea isn't Working...

I may or may have not done said Supernatural intro as a joke, and even though no one really watched my previous videos, it was still heavily implied that it was all stuff that previously happened. So then someone told me I should have done a "Last Time On..." to catch people up. I might be putting to much faith in people lol. My videos aren't exactly cerebral though.

I'd usually scrap it, but keep it. Just in case one day you can take the parts of it you did like and use them in something else, or if you really hate it use it as a learning experience. Like, what to avoid doing next time.
I suppose it also depends on how much time you've put into it, but I like to avoid uploading things unless I'm 100% sure of them, otherwise I end up regretting it down the line!

I tend to agree with this.

I have filmed some videos in the past that took a lot of work, but just felt contrived and forced so I ended up scrapping them because I don't like uploading unless I feel it is going to serve my audience well. It sucks, but it happens and it's a learning experience.

Upload it unlisted and let us see it, maybe its good, or maybe there is something we can do to help.
I wish I would have thought of it! I think I deleted it (I have to check). The good news is that even though I was stuck with "creators block" for almost two weeks I finally have a video coming up that I actually like. I just finished editing it, so it's not posted yet, so I can't wait to upload later today :)

I think my philosophy from this experience is to only post videos I like. Its a much less stressful process than the other option, which is to try to fix it with editing. A bad video is a bad video no matter how it's edited, at least at my current skill level.
