What's your thoughts on in-video advertisements?

I Love YTtalk
Hey guys, so I've done two in-video advertisements in the past, and I just signed a major deal in which I'll be paid 2500 dollars a month by lolskinshop.com to promote his website.

Personally I'm really glad to get the financial boost, this extra money is gonna make up like 30% of my earnings which is really cool.

When you see a video, that has like a 5 second thing in front of it with someone saying "This video is sponsored by _____ go to ____ to find out more" does it turn you away from the video immediately!?

Do you personally think people who do it are sellouts? I'd love to hear your opinions ^^

It's better for you because you get paid more but the only thing that gets me mad is if they have an ad before the video with an ad in it.

I'll be honest, I think there is nothing wrong with it. I mean, it does get on my nerves when it's in the middle of the video. But, if its on the beginning or end, I honestly don't care. I'm all for people getting paid to help other people get known. But, I seriously think I'm in the minority. :P

Honestly....stuff like that doesn't bother me. Especially if the content is really good and worth watching! I don't even mind ads half way through a half hour video etc personally. But yeah, unfortunately I know some people would get annoyed by it for sure.

I don't mind, I know that people need to make money, but I know I see a lot of complaints in the comments section of people who do this.

Save it for coming to the ending of the video and no one will get mad.
he may not be allowed to.

I think the people who get mad about that are idiots honestly. Hypocrites too, cause if they were offered that much cash to say something really short at the beginning of a video they would do it in a heartbeat. You may get some people who are upset over it, or say you're selling out, but there will ALWAYS be people who think that crap about anyone who makes money with their creative gifts. When Green Day signed with a major label they "sold out" When Silverchair changed their grunge sound they "sold out". There are people out there who seem to think that making money with any creative outlet is selling out, and quite frankly I think their opinion on the matter is worth zero.

One thing for sure, is that there's so much money floating about in that market currently :D
I think it's a good and more efficient way of advertising.

The only issues I have is with a few large vloggers than I will not name who do bi-weekly/monthly Q&As and were it's obvious that (well to me anyway) they're squishing in like 3-4 integrations.
Most of their fangirls would of-course have no clue of this and the creator's excuse is "I found this product and oh I love it so much so I must get you a better deal by giving a referral link"
Alot of these Q&As go off of Tweets, some of which look to me to be staged just to bring up the product.

So overall, great method of advertising but not to over-use, one integration per 1-2 videos max I'd say for 99% of channels.

But yea, something like how UnboxTherapy has the "support me by using my Hulu Plus link" ~4 second intro, it's not leading anyone on and they know what he's getting.
