What to do when you are not creating new videos.

How can we stay connected with our audience when not creating new videos..Recently I have seen adding videos to playlists do not go to to the subscriber feed...now there is no channel feed option available as in past...
Is only option left to post videos on Facebook, Twitter , Google+ etc social networking sites.
Please suggest new way...
 
Update videos, bts or q&a are videos that require only little effort compared to others and can be posted in between bigger projects.

Use social media to post everything. Not only our videos. Post short parts from your past videos. Post photos, questions, post someone else content.

If you don't want to use social media platforms you can always make a mailing list and send mails to your fans.
 
You could diversify. I made a website, blog and use social media related to my channel. I also have a mobile game that is branded and leads back to my website (which to a third degree, my channel). On my website, I post the video along with a much detailed blog style post to go along with it. I think it helps others find my videos outside of YouTube as it gives them a lot more text to find. I'm not just paraphrasing the video or anything, I'm actually writing in depth on the subject matter. It's something that I can do while putting together the latest video which can take weeks.
 
the feed is still there, just type "/feed" at the end of your URL and you can see your feed and even post messages/share your thoughts but people can't interact with those messages as far as I know.
