what software do you guys use

I use movie maker just because its free, simple and I don't really want to spend more on my editing software than what I will most likely gain back from my channel.

Snap. Windows Movie Maker is actually not too bad, I use it for all my videos, believe it or not

It isn't very powerful though - prone to crashes. Frequently save your work. Good luck!

I've never crashed with windows movie maker xD I crashed with the one I was using a free trial of A LOT though and the cost of the one is over £100!

I used to use Vegas back in the day, I really liked it, but currently i'm using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition and Adobe Photoshop for all my YouTube needs, really great peices of kit by a company that knows just what people need.

Your editing software is fine for now, but I use Premiere Pro.

Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and Apple Final Cut Pro X.

Premiere is for editing, After Effects mainly for CG and effects.

I wonder if there's a default for that because I hate having to disable it every time I start it up, also it's essentially blending frames in the video for those who don't know and mostly makes the video look like crap.
