What should I do about this?

But is it not the channel that you upload to? I'm not sure how you would go about reporting to youtube "accusing" (I know you're not really accusing him) of stealing your name when Youtube can take a look at your channel name and see that it's completely different.

These things happen, and you are much more popular than the two people that have your art and channel name so I doubt people will have a hard time finding you. Hell, my name is shared with some kind of presentation and some consultant named James Feldman.
I'm seeing "VideoGameAddictz" where are you seeing the Alrod part? lol I see his username as Alrod but I see the channel name as VideoGameAddictz.[DOUBLEPOST=1392602008,1392601867][/DOUBLEPOST]
I don't see what the problem is since your channel name is TheAlrod360 and not actually VideoGameAddictz. I highly doubt the guy tried to steal your name at all and asking him to change his name because you also use it is kinda rude, IMO.
No it's not rude, it's kind of protecting your channel lol if you keep letting people use the same name then when you become successful people are just going to mislead others into thinking you're the same person or using the channel name to boost their success.

Ya I think that's what he means my channel is similar, my channel name due to my re-branding is Kdawg Creations but my URL is still /user/Goofballstudios (would love to get that fixed :p) So I say do what you can, but for now this person seems to have both the username and ur.(Which might suck for you @Alrod360 if the problem of ours becomes fixable)

A channel name can be quickly changed, a username cannot so if anything, the guy could ask him to change his channel name since he's able to do so.

It is rude, because he doesn't actually own the name, does he? Like he said, he came up with VideoGameAddictz for his own name but the other guy also came up with the same name and he probably doesn't even know Alrob so what gives Alrob the right to ask the guy to change his name?

Yeah that's even worse, I didn't realise the guy actually had the URL too.

Like I said, it's about protecting the channel lol He came up with the channel name first. The other user didn't do their research, that's their fault. What's the point of coming up with a channel name if everyone else is gonna use the same 1? I may as well call myself PewDiePie.

First off: It's Alrod, not Alrob
Second: I don't think the url is going to be a problem. I just want him to change the channel name so that there is no dispute or conflict in the future.

You know, some people just do this for fun, right? No need to treat this like a business and there is no research to be done. The guy liked the name, picked it and Alrod happened to do the same thing.

Sorry, that was my bad, kinda late. But again, you can't ask someone to change their channel name when you have proof that the guy copied you. You can go ahead and ask him, but if he doesn't cooperate, then he has all the right in the world to keep the name.

I understand. But if we can come to some kind of agreement, then I'm sure we can both walk away from this happy. If he says no, then I guess I'm going to have to deal with this.

The problem with that is what if you want to advertise your channel through other means ? I can't use a link on a T-shirt or a business card like most people, because my URL and name conflict.

Well, yeah that would be perfect. When I first saw your post I thought you were basically saying the guy had to automatically give up the name, but if you're willing to work with the guy to reach some kind of agreement, then more power to ya. Wish you luck.
