I'll subscribe to any channel of any type, as long as I find their content interesting. As for what makes their content interesting to me, I can't really say. Humour helps, though.
I subscribe to different channels for different moods.
I make guitar pedal demos so I'm subscribed to a lot of demo channels to see what others are doing and to keep me motivated (In these, I'm not interested if the guy/girl is entertaining or not).
For entertainment I'm subscribed to some gaming and comedy channels (In these personalities are very important to me).
I would watch one video, and if I get to stumble into a couple more of the same guy's videos, that I turn out to enjoy. I will probably susbcribe to them.
Personality, mostly. I get bored if they don't sound interested in what they're creating. And on that vein, even if the quality needs work, I have more faith in those already showcasing the passion for it.
Channels that make me subscribe are REAL channels. I mean channels where its creator feels like they literally need to take on this character for their channel I can see through when your acting because the commentary will sound forced and when it sounds forced its not entertaining at all. Iv seen countless beginner YouTubers see this happen so often where a few videos they have this "Character" and the second they upload a video where they themselves a little bit SUDDENLY their subs s**t on them asking "what's wrong?" "your not yourself" "what happened to you?".
Keep it real and be yourself, those who like you for you will stay and those who don't? Watch the door doesnt hit you on the way out.
Humor is a big one for me. Nearly all my subs are humor based.
I usually dont like vlogs, but I have started following a few from here because I feel I know these people and we have a relationship.
