What makes you so special?

With all of the influx of new youtubers daily trying to either live the dream of fame or fortune or whatever, I cant help but notice that a lot of channels are merely carbon copies or have very similar content. I mean how many COD, Minecraft, Black ops, Beauty, Sketch comedy, or vlogging, or whatever channels are there. A FREAKING LOT!!

I say that because I see everyone say the same thing why isnt anyone watching my stuff?, why dont I have any subs?, My channel isnt growing?

Well look at everyone who is successful at it and see what they are doing and how the channel is structured. YouTube isnt just a place to post videos because you want to anymore its a real business. Which means a good product, a personality to sell the product and marketing and promotion.

(By product I mean content)

So lets say you have all of this and you still dont see results. Well then you have to ask yourswlf what makes you so special?

With all of these channels how are you going to standout. If you are a vlogger why would someone go to your channel instead of Shay Carl or i justine or Jenna Marbles. Have a cod channel or gaming channel why not roosterteeth or all of the others out there?

Im not trying to sound like an a** but I ask myself these questions too.

How are you supposed to get recognized if you dont stand out from the herd?

I myself have noticed that it isnt that many channels with one or 2 personalities that have everything on one channel so I want to make my version of that experience.

I want to ask everyone else who reads this post.

What makes your channel so special from the rest? :D
 
Well though my gaming may seem like anyone elses i try to make the commentary and insight unique but when i vlog or skit i try to make it me and only me whether doing it in a style that may seem done but yet not done before or using ideas that i feel only i could pull off right but mostly like many things its opinion based in conclusion i think i'm unique with my channels styles and fun but not everyone might think that
 
the audience i want to build is an audience there to see me and what i think of things, i kinda want my youtube channel to be a place where i share my life if you get what i mean
 
I couldn't agree more.
One thing that annoys me is that socialblade make videos where they say you will get big if you have all these good video setups(lighting, white balance etc) and the reason it annoys me is in my own case.

I have gotten 830 subs from producing pretty crap content up to now with a few good videos here and there yet people have subbed for my personality.

So anybody out there with a good personality and not a high budget, its no problem. :up:
 
I work as a tech reviewer , idk if that's special lol :) I LOVE THAT JOB !!! I'm rocking the HTC One & Samsung Galaxy S4 as of now :) Have to wait till Apple's WWDC this june , to see iOS 7 or iPhone 5s (6?) :)
 
i don't think doing something you don't want to do just because it hasn't been done before is a good idea, even if what you are doing has been done before if you enjoy doing it then carry on because you aren't hurting anyone else
 
My DNA does it for me. I seriously don't have a clue about what make me special to anyone out there who watches my stuff. I only really make my videos for games my friends haven't played and then they play the games and we have fun talking about it.
